1. Have fun! Enjoy yourself
It is important that all our users have fun and enjoy their stay. Impeding on another users enjoyment is certainly frowned upon.
2. Re-frame from Driver Bashing
Almost everyone has a driver or many drivers they may not like. For whatever the reason may be, keep it to yourself. With that said, there is a thin line that is danced around when it comes to this subject. Sly remarks and clever thoughts are borderline. Out-right bashing and trashing drivers is almost as bad or as bad as down talking their fans. Things will happen with drivers that may cause negative reactions from fans. Let's just not let it get out of control. There is room for error on this one, however user bashing (described below) will have less of a tolerance level.
3. Re-frame from User Bashing
Arguments are bound to arise. It's an unavoidable fact. But lets try to be civilized about it. Again, this is another area where participants are likely to test the limits of the line drawn. The line is drawn, cross it, and there will be a problem. Sarcastic remarks and creative perspectives will be handled individually. But complete disregard for other users and out-right attacks on other users will not be tolerated, especially bashing or attacks on moderators or admin. This will be handled appropriately, but if there are any attacks on moderators or admin that will be grounds for immediate banning.
4. Do not bypass the swear filter
Using obscene language and swearing is just not acceptable. There are specific filters on specific words. Don't try to bypass them. It's an insult to our users to use such foul language, and an insult to those who support and run this community to bypass the filters. We are not a naive community, so not all language that some may consider foul is blocked, but the worst is.
5. Signatures
Please be courteous to the other members of the site and try to keep the signatures to a reasonable size. If possible no more than 160px.
6. No unauthorized advertising
There will be a proper procedure for advertising. But please don't simply come here to just plug your site or advertise non-relevant websites. What you do with your profile is fine. What you do with your signature will be monitored. We are not opposed to advertising certain things in your signature, but if we find it detrimental to the site, we will ask you to remove it and if you don't we will.
7. Retaliation is not an option
Two wrongs do not make a right. And two wrongs will be handled appropriately.
8. Acceptable Images
We here at The Race Garage Froum reserve the right to edit your avatars, signatures, and posted or uploaded pictures. If we find them to be unacceptable or violate the board rules, we will remove them, and a warning will be sent to the user. Unacceptable images should not be something we should have to explain, but we will list some examples here:
* Images containing nudity
* Images of illegal substances
* Images glorifying death and destruction
* Images that generally you know would offend the majority
* Images of specific people (non-famous) that you do not have their permission to post.
9. When posting articles from outside websites, please be sure to give credit where credit is due, include the articles page link, and if available the author.
10. If you have a site that is like our own, as in a Nascar fan theme. DO NOT start topics about it. While we can understand you trying to get members, we do not want to lose ours for good. I've seen this happen before on other sites. You can have a link in a sig, but it must be hidden in a picture. You only have one warning to remove a topic, if you do not then the Admins will.
